Amara Diallo is co-founder of Mistral AI, the French startup that trained the first European model to surpass GPT-4 on mathematical reasoning benchmarks. Before Mistral, she was Research Lead at DeepMind Paris and visiting professor at l'École Polytechnique. Her research on Mixture of Experts is the technical foundation behind Mistral's success. She holds a PhD from Paris-Saclay in collaboration with INRIA.
